Animal Farm is a satire on Soviet Russia; Orwell is not writing history. He is conderned with the justice of the revolution, and the injustice of what it became. That is why, Lenin, the father of the revolution, is not a character in Animal Farm, while the reference to Karl Marx (Old Major), the father of communist ideas, is quite clear. |
