Make notes on these powers of persuasion . There are examples at the end of Chapter 3 and 4 and in Chap. 7, 8 and 9. Note the use of rhetorical questions and exclamations.
Practice the Squealer method in small groups (you can invent a proposition for yourself)
Activity 2. The most exploited animal in the farm is Boxer double use of his death:
a) the pigs sell his carcass for drink.
b) they make use of his life to encourage the other animals to work harder.
Design a memorial TABLET for Boxer whose real effect is to praise Napoleon and encourage the other animals to adopt Boxer’s way of life. (Details at the end of Chapter 9 will help).
