The unmoved mover

Aristotle said ‘Nature does not act without a goal’. This works well in Biology or Ethics, but is a great hindrance in Physics.

And the final cause behind everything is the UNMOVED MOVER.

In modern causality only the efficient cause would be considered. The final cause brings in the notion of a goal, an interpretation in terms of final purposeor Teleology.
